![]() ![]() Sestero and Bissell do a great job in using this to reveal not just aspects about the film but about its enigmatic, eccentric, originator in a timely fashion. ![]() The book divides its time between these two stories bouncing, for the most part chapter for chapter, between the two. ![]() The book is really the story of the film through the eyes Sestero (not just co-star but seemingly all round runner and dogsbody), as well as the story of his ‘friendship’ with the film’s creator and, for wont of a better word, auteur, Tommy Wiseau. A little while ago I posted a review of notoriously awful movie The Room and its dramatised making-of The Disaster Artist – Now I come to the book on which that second film was based, written by The Room’s co-star Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell, to see if I can glean anything more as to what exactly led to The Room being quite what it is. ![]()
